Clemson, SC — The City of Clemson, Clemson University, and Tiger Town Tavern are coming together and partnering with The Upcycling Company on #glassonly clean collection program in an effort to divert quality glass from landfills.
The Upcycling Company is expanding across the U.S. partnering with communities to divert quality glass material from our landfills and create a clean glass supply for local manufactures.
“Our manufacturing partners need more glass and they need it cleaner if they’re going to hit their sustainability goals. Our #glassonly collection programs provide a reliable supply solution they can count on.”
– Chris Fisher / The Upcycling Company
When glass manufacturers use more recycled content, they in turn decrease their raw material usage and their energy usage, but first they need the recyclable glass.
As Fisher says, “Partnering with a local venue like Tiger Town Tavern, just makes sense. We go
where the glass is.” The Upcycling Company, Tiger Town Tavern, City of Clemson, and Clemson University hope this partnership will provide a lot of opportunity to increase diversion
of glass from U.S. landfills.
